How we use cookies.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Toeshee uses them, and the choices you have regarding their use. · Last updated: 3 July 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or other internet-connected device) when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in comparable ways. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
A first-party cookie is set by the website you are visiting. A third-party cookie is set by a different domain — typically an advertising or analytics network. This website uses only first-party cookies and similar first-party storage. We do not use third-party advertising, social media, or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Who We Are
This website is operated by Toeshee ("we," "us," or "our"). This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about how we use cookies, contact us at compliance@toeshee.com.
3. Cookies We Use
We use a small set of first-party cookies and browser storage values. The analytics / measurement values are set only when analytics cookies are permitted; the consent and language values are strictly necessary.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ts_consent | Strictly necessary | Records your cookie and tracking preference (accepted / declined) so we can honor your choice on future visits, and so the cookie banner is not shown on every page. | ~13 months |
toeshee_lang | Strictly necessary | Remembers your language preference (English or Spanish). | Until cleared (local storage) |
ts_vid | Analytics / measurement | Stores a visitor identifier so we can recognize a returning visit and group page views into a session for analytics and B2B visitor measurement. | ~13 months |
ts_sid, ts_sid_ts | Analytics / measurement | Groups page views into a single visit; a new session starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. Set only after analytics cookies are permitted. | Until cleared (local storage) |
The analytics identifiers (ts_vid, ts_sid, ts_sid_ts) are set only when analytics / measurement cookies are permitted. ts_consent is strictly necessary and is written as soon as you record a choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as an opt-out and set no analytics identifier.
We use the information from these cookies, together with your IP address, to understand site traffic and to identify the organizations interested in our services, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to deliver advertising.
3.1 When cookies are set, by region
In opt-in regions (the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), the ts_vid, ts_sid, and ts_sid_ts values are created only after you accept in the consent banner. In notice-and-opt-out regions, they are created on your first page view; choosing "Decline" stops all measurement and records your choice in ts_consent. The ts_consent value itself is strictly necessary — it is how we remember an opt-out — and is set whenever you make a choice. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals always prevent measurement cookies, in every region.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Remember your cookie and tracking preferences
- Remember your language preference
- Recognize a returning visit and group page views into a session
- Understand how visitors navigate and use our website
- Understand which businesses are interested in our services (B2B visitor measurement)
- Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of our website
5. Third-Party Cookies
This website does not set third-party advertising, social media, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics are first-party and run on our own infrastructure; fonts and other assets are self-hosted rather than loaded from third-party networks.
The one third party the Site can contact is the anti-abuse service on our forms (Google reCAPTCHA), and only if a form challenge is triggered. It is provided by Google and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Your Cookie Choices
You have several options for controlling or limiting how cookies are used on our website:
6.1 Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie banner at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Accept All — allow the analytics / measurement cookies described in this policy
- Decline — only strictly necessary cookies will be used
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the persistent "Cookie preferences" control in the website footer, which reopens the banner.
6.2 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser, or a browser extension, sends a Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signal, we honor it automatically as an opt-out of non-essential tracking — in every region, and no analytics identifier is set.
6.3 Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can configure your browser to:
- Block all cookies
- Delete cookies when you close your browser
- Alert you when a cookie is placed on your device
Please note that restricting cookies may impact your experience on our website. For guidance on managing cookies in popular browsers:
7. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use the browser's local storage to hold some of the values above — your consent and language preferences (ts_consent, toeshee_lang) and, where measurement is permitted, the session values (ts_sid, ts_sid_ts) and a copy of the visitor identifier. Local storage works like a cookie but is not automatically sent with every request. You can clear it through your browser's settings or developer tools.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor browser opt-out signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking and set no analytics identifier — in every region, regardless of any prior choice.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our data practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we will notify you through a prominent notice on our website or, where we have your contact details, by email.
